The Miss Nepal contest is the national beauty pageant of Nepal, which was started in 1994 in Kathmandu under the chairmanship of Mr. Gopal Sunder Lal Kakshapati.After three years The Hidden Treasure Pvt Ltd was established and henceforth organizing Miss Nepal pageant. The winner of Miss Nepal goes to Miss World,〔(www.missnepal.com.np )〕 while the runners up compete in Miss Earth and Miss International beauty pageants. Nepal also sends representatives in other minor global pageants such as Miss Grand International, Miss Tourism Queen International, Miss Globe International, Miss Heritage and Miss Asia Pacific World. The 20th edition of the Hidden Treasure Miss Nepal 2015 was held on 18 April 2015. The selected 19 finalists competed for the three main titles of Miss Nepal World, Miss Nepal Earth, and Miss Nepal International. The current Hidden Treasure Miss Nepal titleholders are: Evana Manandhar as Miss Nepal World 2015, Dibyata Vaidya as Miss Nepal Earth 2015 and Medha Koirala as Miss Nepal International 2015. ==History== Ever since the pageant started from 1994, historically the winner of the Miss Nepal pageant represented the Nepal in the Miss Asia Pacific. After 1997, the Hidden Treasures collaborated with Kathmandu Jaycees and formed two pageants of Kathmandu Jacyees Miss Nepal and Hidden Treasures Miss World Nepal. From 1998 on wards, the winner of Miss Nepal has been sent to Miss World contest and the 1st runner up to Miss Asia Pacific. No contest was held in 2001 because of the Nepalese royal massacre. From 2004, the 2nd runner up has been granted to represent Nepal in the pageant Miss Earth but it changed a year later, to 1st runner up as it had been stopped sending to Miss Asia Pacific. In 2010, the 2nd runner up has started to send to Miss International.
